Meet Chef Deborah Schneider

So you think you know tacos?  Chef Deborah Schneider will share exotic Mexican recipes and cooking tips in the Warwick's Pavilion.

Festival Location

The Festival is located in the La Jolla district of San Diego.  It is easily accessible from I-5, I-805 and CA-52 and offers plenty of free parking. Click here for a map and more details.

Mike is a San Diego based architectural photographer.  Using photographs from his new book, Mike will take you through an informative illustrated journey to Machu Picchu in Peru.

Meet Miss Wheelchair California, Jennifer Kumiyama, and runner-up, Maggie Elizondo visiting throughout the Festival.

Cooking demo by renowned chefs Bernard Guillas and Ron Oliver (Marine Room and La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club), preparing from  their new cookbook Flying Pans. Deborah Schneider (Sol Cucina and Rancho la Puerta), will demonstrate recipes from her book Amor y Tacos.  All authors will prepare food from their respective cookbooks that feature a recipe and country that had special meaning to them.  Chef Bernard will make Ahi Tuna Lollipop with Ginger Macadamia from Fiji; Chef Ron will make Oregon Goat Cheese Walnut Soup with Granny Smith Apple from USA, and Chef Deb will make Panuchos with Mexican Cheeses, Flor de Calabasa and Epazote with Black Beans.

Cake Wrecks Author and Contest with author Jen Yates

Entertaining slide show featuring favorite cake wrecks blog and Cake Wrecks book, followed by a Q&A, Cake Wreck cupcake contest (replicate your favorite Cake Wreck on a cupcake), and book signing.  The author and her guest will judge the cupcake contest, give out fun prizes and then all enjoy sweet treats provided by Cake Dreams & Cookie Wishes.
