The La Jolla Festival of the Arts™ will be held June 26-27, 2010, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, on the UCSD east campus at the corner of Genesee Ave and Regents Rd. Admission price is $10 per person. La Jolla Festival of the Arts celebra su XXIV aniversario el 26 y 27 de junio 2010. El evento se llevara acabo en la Universidad de California, San Diego, UCSD Sede Este se encuentra ubicada en la Avenida Genesee y Calle Regents. El evento es reconocido a nivel estatal como elnúmero uno en el condado de San Diego y es una de las exhibiciones más prestigiosas en California. Este año el evento será anfitrión de 200 artistas reconocidos a nivel local y nacional quienes van a exhibir su obra de arte en diversas técnicas como acuarelas, oleos, serigrafías, joyería fina, fotografía y muchas otras disciplinas. El público podrá disfrutar de la variedad, entretenimiento y una zona para niños con talleres de arte, juegos y actividades familiares. Este evento anual es producido por la fundación Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation. La misión del festival es promover una experiencia sin igual con la más alta calidad de arte y entretenimiento y que con orgullo ofrecemos alos donantes, invitados y participantes de este evento. La misión del programaes apoyar los programas educativos y recreativos para San Dieguinos con discapacidades. En los primeros inicios el evento de La Jolla Festival of the Arts apoyaba únicamente a Adaptive Sports Association (Asociación Deportiva para Discapacitados), pero con el éxito del festival ellos ahora pueden apoyar a mas de 30 programas locales para la comunidad deatletas discapacitados. “Para cualquier organización de voluntarios tiene mucho que decir que una organización perdure mas de 21 años y que pueda recaudarsuficientes fondos para apoyar a tantos atletas”, comenta el señor Ronn Rohe fundadorde la organización. |
